FAQ'S

SALES

What is the lead time on a new forklift purchase?

The lead time can vary based on a number of factors, model availability, options requested, leasing, etc. Lead times can range from a few days or weeks to months in some instances.

What used equipment do you have available?

Used equipment changes often and typically moves quickly. Check with your Bennett Material Handling sales professional for currently available equipment.

Why is “this” forklift more expensive than “that” forklift?

Forklift costs come from many factors and much more than just the lifting capacity or size of the truck. Obviously, the options chosen will make a significant difference but also, the technology behind the operation can lead to price differences and more importantly differences in future repair costs. As the saying goes, “You get what you pay for”.

How do I know what kind of forklift or what options I need?

There is no "one size fits all" answer to this question. Capacity, lift height, attachment, safety features; these are among the many things that you will want to identify when coming to a decision on what equipment is right for your application. Our sales team will help you to identify what will best meet your needs now and in the future.

PARTS

What information do you need to get me the correct parts?

Your forklift serial number is very important in identifying parts. Forklift models are manufactured for multiple years and changes to the design happen regularly within the same model so your serial number is the only way to identify which parts will fit in your specific forklift. Whenever possible, a part number stamped on the part itself is very helpful as well.

How quickly will my parts arrive?

We stock a large number of parts in our Hopkins warehouse for immediate availability. When parts need to be ordered in, we can usually get them in a week on a stock order or overnight for an additional fee. Our parts specialists can provide you with an estimated arrival date when placing a parts order.

How do I order new forks? What information is needed?

There is no “standard” fork. Forks can be very different from one pair to the next so getting the correct information is important. We have some fork worksheets to help you in how to measure and what features to identify when ordering forks. You can find the worksheet on our Resources Page.

Service

What forklifts do you work on?

We work on all makes and models of forklifts and can handle most repairs on forklifts from manufacturers outside of the brands we represent.

How soon can we expect to see a service technician on-site?

In most cases, a technician will be out within 24 hours. In some cases, we are able to get out the same day. For emergency situations, we do our best to prioritize situations where your forklift is down and get out as quickly as possible.
